We all use energy to make our homes a comfortable place to live and power the appliances that cook our food, launder our clothes, operate our communication and entertainment systems and much, much more. Every month, you receive one or more bills for this energy. Although we all value the benefits that energy provides, we want to use energy wisely.

ElectriCities of North Carolina and the City of Elizabeth City’s electric utility are pleased to offer you a  powerful online energy tool known as Weather Insights. You can access this tool at any time by clicking on "Learn More" in the box located on the right. 

Weather Insight will help you understand the impact of weather on your utility bill.  This application, provided by Apogee, is a web service that gives you our local weather forecast for the coming seven days; and more importantly, predicts energy costs for those seven days! You only need to answer 10 simple questions about your residence in order for the program to predict your personal energy costs.
